Barton Creek's Manager just contacted me (several weeks after, but heck... he might have been on Holiday...) and I expect a resolution soon. When that happens I will ask the Site Manager to pull my previous post...

We’ve represented Cordillera Ranch in Boerne for a number of years. So we were really excited to see that their Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course debuted as No. 4 on The Dallas Morning News ranking of the 50 best golf courses in Texas. It was also honored for having some of the best holes and prettiest holes in the state.

Barton Creek in Austin - A Resort to Avoid

My cousin recently got married. The hotel my aunt selected was Barton Creek in Austin. We had several Very Bad Experiences at this location. First for $285.00 (it's much more if you want to golf) a night, you expect competent help. They were not. Also my sister's car was robbed while in Valet Parking and among the items stolen was a PDA I've had for years. Beers were Five Bucks, water was eight Bucks. In short, this resort is a place to avoid. The Resort didn't replace my PDA (by the way) even after I wrote the Property Manager about it.

Good resource! Did you also hear about the new resorts opening up in the Texas Hill Country? The latest I heard of was the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa opening in the spring of 2010. The buzz is building quickly about this property due to the recent golf announcement of the Valero Texas Open which will change venues in 2010 to the new TPC San Antonio course located at the resort – hopefully we will bring in some really big golfers too! I for one am happy just to have a new spot for friends and family to stay when visiting – it’s connected to a bird sanctuary and surrounded by rolling hills so the views will be incredible. It’s exciting to hear the direction my city is heading in so I thought I’d share!
