In true Jeff Foxworthy style, I’m thinking I can come up with enough of these for a post about Boo.
And since I used to live very close by, I think I can safely say most of them would fit me too.
And since Boo was, I think, born in Milton, raised around Bagdad and resides in Jay, I think we could use any of the three town names in this good natured fun we’re poking at Boo.
I’ve been called a redneck and a hillbilly golf star myself, so I’m not afraid to use the terms in regards to Boo.

5) If you played high school golf with a guy named Bubba, you might be from Milton, Florida.

7) If the closest you ever get to the middle east is Bagdad, Florida, you might be from Milton, Florida.
If the closest you’ve ever come to real Scottish Moors is The Moors Golf Club, you might be from Milton, Florida.
9) If you think the initials ‘LA’ stands for Lower Alabama, you might be from Milton, Florida.
10) And lastly, if you think I don’t love Boo, Bubba and the rest of the residents of the Panhandle of Florida, you must have never been to Milton, Florida !

I live in Pensacola, Florida which is next door to Milton, Jay, Bagdad, Molino and Pace. They are great little towns. At the TPC at Sawgrass this year, 2008, my wife and I had the pleasure of standing by some people at the no. 10 tee. to watch Boo, D.J.Trahan, and Anthony Kim, tee off. There were literally hundreds of people following this threesome and the couple next to us, by the ropes, were there to see Boo. They commented about his down to earth style and how much they loved to watch him. He, in their words, was the refreshing breath of air, that the tour needed and I couldn’t agree more. He is a good example for our children and grandchildren. Go Boo!!!

We lived on Pensacola Beach for a year. That’s why I like Boo and all his neighbors.
We used to go to the Farmer’s Opry up in Milton and LOVED it !
And you’re exactly right about Boo. We need more of him and his kind. Looking forward to him playing in the Ryder Cup up here in Kentucky. He’s like us !
How can a person behave the way Boo Weekly do when he plays Ryder Cup ??? Disgusting !!!
Yeah, it’s hard to like a guy who is happy, positive, excited, passionate, etc.
He didn’t act nearly as “bad” as Sergio did in ‘06, ‘04 and ‘02.
Or maybe he was Sergio reinvented, ’cause the Europeans couldn’t stand him and couldn’t beat him.
Hey Gary, I don’t know if you are the same Gary Goodwin that I have been looking for for over 20 years. I hope so. Is your mother Sue and did you have a cousin name Jim Payne? If not, my appologies and good golfing:)
Hey Denise, Yes I am the Gary you are talking about and Mother has passed away, as I am sure you know by now. Sorry to hear about James, your Dad, and Aunt Nellie. Drop me a line if you get a chance. I would love to hear how you are doing and what is going on with the family.
