Do you pronate on the backswing?

Mike Sigers January 29, 2009 at 6:10 pm

What’s a backswing ?

Fantastic video . Beginners must watch your video. It will definitely help uthem to achieve a consistent swing. You have also given some tips on how to choose golf clubs.

Chuck September 3, 2009 at 1:57 pm

I saw your web site and requested the 10 fideos for free to see what all fuss was about. I got the first one but haven’t received any since. Will you please send me the additional videos. I liked what I saw on the first one and really want to see the rest.

Edward Hudson September 3, 2009 at 9:26 pm

have paid for Don Trahan’s Peak Peformance Swing Sept 1, the mone has been credited to an account Maved marketing, but I have received no ackowledgement of your receit or anything else, will you please confirm this.

Mike Sigers September 6, 2009 at 10:48 pm

The only thing I can confirm, Edward, is that your on the wrong site and have no idea where you bought or who you bought from.

This site, if you’ll look in the Address Bar, is named TravellingGolfer.com.

This post, or article is about Don’s video’s, it’s not where you bought them and they aren’t for sale here.

You, my friend, have no idea what you’re doing or where you’re doing it, so don’t blame them for anything.

Mike Sigers September 6, 2009 at 10:52 pm

Sorry ’bout your luck Chuck, but you didn’t request anything here on this blog. This doesn’t belong to Don, it’s a post or article about Don’s video’s.

I kinda doubt you did anything, because you don’t even know where you did what you didn’t actually do.

Good luck finding what you’re after, but I have my doubts that you’ll be able to git ‘er done.

BUYER BEWEARE!
BUYER BEWEARE!
BUYER BEWEARE!

When you buy Don’s video, you get A “NO QUESTIONS ASKED, MONEY BACK GUARANTEE” and you’ll also be signed up for a recurring monthly charge of $19 to be a member of the Inner Circle. It’s absolutely free for the first 2 weeks and if you cancel, you SUPPOSEDLY won’t be charged….. Sounds great, doesn’t it?

Well, I cancelled 14 days after signing up and my credit card was still charged. Good thing I printed my cancelation receipt which reads “Successfully cancelled auto order with code *******,” because PPG supposedly has no record of my cancelation. I noticed the charge 25 days after cancelling when I received my credit card statement. I canceled one more time and sent emails to Maven Marketing, don@peakperformancegolfswing.com and support@peakperformancegolfswing.com. After 3 days with no response, I called PPG and was told “sorry, we have no record of your 11/27 cancelation.” She was argumentative so rather than argue, I asked her to refund my money under the “NO QUESTIONS ASKED, MONEY BACK GUARANTEE.” She said that doesn’t apply to Inner Circle members. I feel like I just shanked one into the bunker!

Don seems like a nice guy in the videos and I was willing to keep trying his swing, even though it wasn’t working after the promised 2 buckets, but I was still skeptical and not ready to pay a monthly fee yet. I can even understand that someone in his processing department didn’t get the cancelation, but I cannot understand how someone that sends me 2 or 3 email each and every day can’t return my email for 4 days.

I could live without my 19 bucks, but I’m ticked off that I was taken advantage of.

Now my IP address is blocked from posting comments on his website

Mike Sigers December 29, 2009 at 6:34 pm

Hey Bob,

I bought Don’s video’s and I didn’t get signed up for his Inner Circle. What’s the chances you checked a box and did that to yourself?

As for the people who administrate his marketing efforts, well, I’m not very proud of their work either. Try to remember, it ain’t Don and I’m willing to bet he has no idea as to what they do or don’t do.

Still doesn’t make it right, but that’s probably the way it is.

I’m also still on his email autoresponder list and he doesn’t send 2 or 3 emails a day, only 1 and not every day.

That being said, I’m sure glad you left this comment here on my blog and I’ll try to get some info and will report back.

Pam April 16, 2010 at 3:42 pm

Hi, I thought I was the only one taken by these people. I signed up for peakperformancegolfswing also, tried to cancel, got no responce. I called customer service and they said the money is none refundable. I’m going to the BBB and possibaly my lawyer. I wonder if Mr. Trahan and his son know what kind of crooks they have marketing their stuff.

starkman May 12, 2010 at 6:30 am

Thanks for the heads up Pam and Bob. I was about to buy the $511 package (“for a one time only deal of ONLY $57!!”) but decided to do a little research first.

You’ve scared me off and I will not be purchasing. Thanks!

Mike Sigers May 13, 2010 at 5:52 pm

Gee starkman, I don’t think I’d make a decision based on what one person said. Why not try the product and if it’s not for you, get a refund?

You read a comment from an unknown source on my blog and took it as gospel over my own post on my own blog?

How do you know they’re not blithering idiots?

How do you know they even tried the videos?

How do you know they even play golf?

If you’ll read all the comments left on this post, you won’t give much credence to the commenters, because many of them have no idea whose site they’re own or what’s even going on.

Maybe they thought those video’s would override the fact that they have bad grips, big belly’s and no swing, never, ever practice and have never even had a proper golf lesson.

Most of the people I see on the course must have never watched golf on TV, because if they did, they’d never set up, swing pitch or chip like they do, because it damn sure ain’t the ways the real golfers do it.

That being said, unless you’re going to do what Don teaches, don’t waste your money or their time refunding your money after 3 days and no real attempt at even trying what’s in the video’s, like most of the bozo’s who buy them and ask for a refund the same week, expecting to push a button and have a golf game.

Dear Sir
I told you some four months ago to stop sending me information
and you did. But for the past three months you have still been
billing me 19.00 dollors a month I want that stop . I no longer even have a conputer. Also I’ve been calling you for three months at
this number(888-435-8093) and all I get is the busy signal so whats
the deal anyway. Please STOP billing me
Arvin Schaap

Mike Sigers June 4, 2010 at 8:46 pm

Dear Arvin,

You’ve probably been doing several things wrong, namely coming on this website to tell me about anything dealing with Don Trahan and his video’s.

I’m glad you don’t have a computer and you should never try to buy anything online ever again, as you’re very bad at it.

Don’s customer support is CLEARLY shown on this page:

http://www.peakperformancegolfswing.com/contact/

Go there, call the CORRECT number and then stay away from the internet.

callum June 26, 2010 at 9:16 am

Enjoying the posts guys , I have paid for Dons downloadable book and Dvd`s , I have read and re-read the book a few times and watched the Dvd`s over and over again.

Only criticism I have is some of the camera work is too close and when Don is explaining some things you cant see what he means , eg: explaining stance but camera shows only from waist up on a couple of segments.

Overall I think it was value for money and will be sticking with it.

Remember Rome wasnt built in a day , just because my wife can look at a map and watch me drive my car doesnt mean she is a great driver ! shes not even a bad driver yet , still rubbish.

boag July 3, 2010 at 11:00 am

2 months ago, I paid the last chance purchase of some $37.00. I received the confirmation etc, etc. I have tried to contact “Don whosit”, but have now decided he is not the swing surgeon, but the swindler master. Of course I still keep getting his emails asking for more charitable donations.

boag July 3, 2010 at 11:03 am

Sorry, I forgot to mention in my previous email that I have received nothing I paid for. I consider this theft.

Whitney Williams July 16, 2010 at 4:59 pm

I would interested in the program if it was on DVD’s
Also what the deal with one chance and one chance only to ourchase program that make me leery of it.

Ed Lomax July 26, 2010 at 8:54 am

I was considering buying this set of videos but the comments I have seen here made me think again.
I was particularly put off by the rude, offensive comments by Mr. Sigers.
I have been playing golf for many years and I am happy to say that Mr. Sigers is a long, long way from the courteous golfers I have encountered in my travels.

Mike Sigers July 26, 2010 at 6:22 pm

Well Ed, this blog belongs to Mr. Sigers and he doesn’t appreciate all these wackos coming on his blog, thinking they’re on Don Trahan’s blog, leaving stupid comments.

They don’t even know what site they were on when they paid money to someone. That just beaks my itty-bitty heart.

Don’t let my comments scare you away from buying Don’s video’s. He has no contact with this site and we represent him in no way, shape or form.

Please go give him your money and then come back here and complain like the rest of these goobers.

BShiverick August 9, 2010 at 8:21 am

Don and the Peak Performance site are not swindlers. In addition to a very thorough and comprehensive approach to the golf swing, they make every attempt to provide value for the money. I paid $37 for the entire product line. All of the materials were available for download right away. I have found them to be enormously helpful. In addition to the video lessons and the 100+ page (pdf) fundamentals book, they run a daily blog and take questions from users – on the free side.

As for the swing itself. Even if you don’t buy into the 3/4 turn, vertical swing plane approach, and you don’t have to, there is a lot of useful information. For me it has been a godsend. I had no idea where my swing plane was, now I am able to evaluate every component of my swing. I am not a schill for them, but I hate to see misinformed rants about something I have found to be very honest and helpful.

Thanks Mike for providing this forum and suffering fools patiently.

B.

Mike Sigers August 9, 2010 at 8:56 pm

Hi my name is Mike and I approved that comment and agree wholeheartedly!

I’ve always made a limited turn and my arms are strong enough to use that swing to a very healthy level.

If you’re a weak mamby pamby, or if you’re just stoopid, don’t try it.

If you think you bought it here and come here to complain … Go away!

Jerry Robinson September 1, 2010 at 10:33 am

I have been watching the 10 free videos and ordered the dvd package. I have not had any problem with receiving any of them and I am enjoying all of them. I think the premise of what Don is teaching is very good and hope to perfect the swing in the near future. I switched to Stack and Tilt last year and while it worked sometimes, I find that Don’s swing is elliminating the “chunks” I would occassionally hit with the S&T. This swing is much easier on the back. As Mike says, don’t rely on a complete strangers blog that may not even know how to download a dvd or even believe what I am telling you, try it yourself and have your own opinion.

Chris October 3, 2010 at 10:06 am

Mike Sigers…. What exactly is this blog for? The title is ‘Don Trahan’s Golf Swing Video’s Rock!’ It seems that anybody that disagrees with that statement or complains about being about money taken from them in a scam that is sweeping the internet is called an idiot and asked to leave and not come back. You say you don’t represent Don Trahan in any way shape or form but if you read your comments here you are representing and promoting him by the definitions of the words. You are saying you had a great experience with Don’s system and if anyone has had anything less they are “stupid” or a “goober.” Should they have taken the time to read the terms and conditions and the fine print in them before handing out their credit card number? Certainly. But at least some of them were smart enough to try and do some research on the product before buying it. In one post you say,

“Gee starkman, I don’t think I’d make a decision based on what one person said. Why not try the product and if it’s not for you, get a refund?”

But in a post you made 5 months earlier you say,

“As for the people who administrate his marketing efforts, well, I’m not very proud of their work either. Try to remember, it ain’t Don and I’m willing to bet he has no idea as to what they do or don’t do. Still doesn’t make it right, but that’s probably the way it is.”

This was a reply to someone who did try Don’s videos and did try to get the “no questions asked refund” and couldn’t.

You sir are the goober.

Mike Sigers October 3, 2010 at 9:40 pm

Thanks for stopping by Chris, even if you left your email addy as Eddie-something-or-another.

I’m guessing you don’t really have an identity, so you use whatever name comes across the TV as you sit in your chair and bitch and moan.

The people who’ve gotten dissed here on this post deserved it because they’re not quite ready for prime time. AKA they ARE actually stupid.

They come here and complain to me about something they bought somewhere else. They didn’t buy them here. I have no affiliation with the video’s or Don.

Most of those goobers don’t know where they were when they bought them. They don’t know how to call an 800 number, nor do they know how to use a support system to leave a complaint. They hope someone else will get their money back and send it to them.

“FEMA … save us. Help us FEMA!” We’ve heard it before.

Seeing that they don’t have the ability to do any of that, or anything to help themselves, I know for a fact that they didn’t watch the video’s, nor did they attempt to use the methods Don teaches.

I do have the videos. I have re-tooled my swing to match his methods.

My back feels better, my scores are lower and I have more fun.

You don’t get what you pay for, you get what you work for.

Don’t buy the video’s if you’re not going to go to the range and work out the problems with your lousy ass swing.

And if you want to start your own website and say mean things to idiots, I’m all for it. They deserve it and I can’t demean ‘em all by myself. Jump in and help or get out of the way gooberass.

Chris October 4, 2010 at 5:51 pm

Sorry I didn’t realize that my email address had to contain my actual first name. Perhaps you should start a blog explaining the rules of email address creation, being you are so much more intelligent than your average internet user.

The post I was refering was as follows:

Which part of that sounds like this guy is unable to help himself? Perhaps rather than calling people names and insulting people that visit your lame website, you should share your great wisdom on how to resolve their dilemmas. I guess it is much easier to stroke your ego and make yourself feel better by berating others. Guess thats how they do it good ole’ Kentucky.

Don’t need to start a website to say mean things to idiots… I can do it right here.

As for my lousy ass swing… I have been a scratch golfer for about 20 years now and I didn’t have to retool my swing to compensate for a weak back. Just plain old natural athletic self taught ability. Perhaps we should get together for a round and you can post on your website how I spanked you back into the Stone Age. Then again… maybe that wouldn’t be such a great idea. You’d probably throw your back dodging a nine iron.

Mike Sigers October 6, 2010 at 10:33 pm

Chris ol’ buddy,

You’re taking hearsay, which is what that comment is, and acting like it’s gospel.

I have 30+ websites and I get dozens upon dozens of emails and comments per day and I can assure you that most people are wrong AND liars, especially if it comes to money and the internet.

Here’s some of the things you hear a guy say when his wife kicks his ass cause he bought something golf related off the internet … again.

“I have to refund because my grandmothers sister died and I need that $29 back to help with the funeral.”

“My niece needs a new prosthetic leg and I want to help her, so I want to refund.”

“I never even opened the package.”

Blah blah yada yada.

Lies upon lies upon lies. What really happened it the wife saw the purchase and threw a fit.

After you talk to Don’s support people and they prove or disprove something someone said, then you can find the truth somewhere in between the two stories, but to believe someone who commented on my blog, which is not where they purchased the video’s in the first place is placing your trust in the wrong hands.

If the fools don’t even know where they bought the video’s, how can you possibly believe them?

Read, I mean really read, those comments on that post and you’ll see that 99% of those poor souls are hopeless and hapless.

As for you playing a round against me, I’d be delighted. Your scratch golf is more than likely a case of delusions of grandeur. Every time I hear that I know that, just like those comments, it’s probably not quite the truth.

It’s probably a lot like the football teams in your area, namely OSU, you’re real tough til you play a team from a real football conference, like Alabama or Florida.

Like Dr. Phil says, “How’s that workin’ for ya?”

If that’s your real email addy, I’ll be glad to let you know when I’m headed up towards Columbus and we can play a round and let the world know how you did backin’ up that woofin’, but like those Buckeye’s, I’m bettin’ your woofin’ is bigger than your playin’.

Oh, by the way, is not using your name in your email addy an Ohio thang or just something personal?

I can see it now:

You: “Hi, my names Chris, after you read my sparkling resume, send me an email to EddieTheBooger@boogers.net.”

Them: “EddieTheBooger?”

You: “Yeah, in Ohio, we never use our real names in our email addys.”

Them: “Oooooo-kaaaaaay then. Next!”

Chris October 8, 2010 at 4:40 pm

In Ohio we have figured out how to have more than one email address. One for important things…. which does contain my real name. And one for websites that require you enter an email address to leave a comment. This way I can direct all the spam to an account that I really never use and keep internet P.I.s such as yourself from looking up my address and other personal info. With all that football and investigative knowledge you’d think you could figure out that eddie2795 would be Eddie George… who wore 27 and won the heisman in 95. At least I don’t root for a team that is so bad that I have to hang my hat on the conference they play in. I notice you didn’t name good ole’ Kaaaantuuucky on that list. YEEEEEE HAAAAWWWWW! Not that I care… I played golf, not football in college. As far as our match goes, I am ready when you are. If you can pull yourself away from those Hee Haw reruns we can go play Scarlet. You know… one of the finest collegiate courses in the country. Just bring your check book and some Geritol.

Mike Sigers October 9, 2010 at 9:36 am

Sorry to have to edit your comment Chris, but your comment about my sister, who passed away back in 2001, was more than I could take. It’s also a very clear indicator that I would never want to play golf with an asshole like you.

The fact that you have to use an email addy that plays off the accolades of some athlete, rather than your own, is typical of wannabe’s who really don’t have much of a life, another indication that you probably play alone most days … probably, you play with yourself in more ways than one.

Here’s a tip for you, bright boy, don’t get in a war of words with anyone when you’re so poorly armed and when the other person is in command of the Delete and Edit Button.

Have a nice life in the land of Buckeye’s and I hope Jim Tressel’s tight little tie looks straight in his picture on your wall in all of the BCS Bowl Game losses to SEC schools from now until you meet God, who is surely disappointed in having made your sorry ass.

Chris October 12, 2010 at 3:59 pm

Hey Mike, I’ve changed my mind, you’re actually the best golf blogger on the planet and you’re my hero!

Chris October 12, 2010 at 4:07 pm

Oh and by the way Mike, I hope to be able to just stand on the sidewalk and clap as you walk by someday … you’re my hero!

Ron November 22, 2010 at 10:25 pm

I was tempted to sign up for Trahan’s deal. What’s stopping me is him saying to never swing down on the ball. If someone can tell me how you can hit a ball and then take a divot without swinging down on the ball, I will reconsider. Or, if someone can tell me why it would be wrong to take a divot after hitting the ball. Thanks.

Mike Sigers November 29, 2010 at 8:06 pm

Hey Ron.

I believe you can make very good, if not perfect, contact without taking a divot.

I also believe it’s hard to do, but if you’ll try to hit the ball “thin”, you’ll see what he means.

When you hit the ball a couple of grooves from the bottom, just barely above “thin” you’ll be amazed at how good the contact is and how the ball feels and flies.

Hitting down just gives you more room for error.

Try the “thin” drill and holler back!

curbin February 9, 2011 at 11:14 am

Mike,
Your blog is hilarious! Great Job. I found your site looking for Dan Trahan who no longer works for Peak Performance Swing; he has moved on elsewhere.
In general I agree with your assessment of the swing. I bought the videos after months of reading the blog and watching the free 10 lessons. Because I read the site purchase agreement carefully, I knew I did not have to sign up for the inner circle. I have had zero problems accessing the site which clearly allows you to download the videos and/or burn to a disk.
My banana slice was cured almost immeadiately after watching and implementing the 3/4 swing. The swing is definitely suited for the casual golfer because it is really easy on the back. As you stated, you still have to get out on the range and work at it. At any rate I found it worth every dime.

Mike Sigers February 9, 2011 at 8:04 pm

Thanks Curbman!

I had no problems with Don’s stuff and I’m okay that they now have some new meat in there teaching.

I’m know how to separate the wheat from the chaff, which seems to be really hard for some of the technologically challenged souls that end up here talking to Don.

As we say in the South, “Bless their hearts!”

Ed Ceresnie March 7, 2011 at 5:47 am

Dear Don,
Why did you leave Peak Performance Golf?

Ed Ceresnie

Mike Sigers March 8, 2011 at 8:08 pm

Dear Ed,

Don doesn’t live here.

He left because they wanted him to talk slower.

He refused.

Case closed.
