Advertising On Golf Flagsticks ?

Did anyone else see the news snippet that said that there was advertising on the flagsticks during the Pro-Am part of the Administaff Small Business Classic ?
Has anyone ever seen this on a course they’ve played ?
Would you be for or against it ?
Would you bother to try and see who was doing the advertising ?
Want to find out more ? Here’s a link to one website with more info.

Advertising on flagsticks…I can’t imagine it being particularly effective but it could certainly reinforce a brand and create a positive association for said brand. Some “pureists / traditionalists” might be bothered by it, but generally “purists / traditionalists” are not good for golf anyway.
I tend to agree Golf Girl.
Thanks for taking time to comment.
I can’t find a way to pronounce the name of that CClub in the picture on your blog either.
Thanks for linking to me, I’ll add you to my blog roll. I also subscribed to your feed.
Holler if y’all get near Louisville.
What a great idea advertising on flagsticks! How much better is that than advertising on tee boxes - tee markers or even trash cans. I think I saw it at the Womens World Cup of Golf in January and it looked awesome. Cant see why all tours would not want it.

Thanks for the comment, Jason.
It seems to be spreading around the globe.
Good or bad for golf ?
I have no idea, but it doesn’t really bother me.
