Are You Interested In Golf Architecture?

Thru a post by Robert Thompson, I found the golf blog of Jeff Mingay.
He deals with golf course architecture and the daily grind to git-r-done.
Jeff Mingay works in affiliation with fellow Canadian golf architect Rod Whitman, and participates in every aspect of golf course design and construction, including feature shaping. Mingay has traveled extensively to study the world’s best courses, and has also worked with American golf architects Mike DeVries and Tim Liddy at projects in the United States and Scotland. A keen student of the history of golf and course architecture, Mingay is a noted writer as well. His expert articles and essays appear in publications throughout the world.

Golfweek’s Best Courses Of 2006

Golfweek Magazine recently released its annual list of Best New Courses for 2006.
Golfweek’s Best New Courses list, which appeared in the October 28 issue of Golfweek, recognizes the high quality that architects and builders have delivered at the top 50 public, private and resort courses all of which opened in 2004 and 2005.
The No. 1 spot on the list was awarded to Bandon Trails, a Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw design that opened in 2005 in Bandon, Ore. Coming in a close second is Massachusetts’s Old Sandwich Golf Club, also designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw. The Arnold Palmer designed Suncadia Prospector Golf Course in Roslyn, Wash. rounds out the Top 50.
The list is derived from the efforts of Golfweek’s course raters. This nationwide team of nearly 400 evaluators regularly surveys over 1,800 golf courses and renders their judgment on the basis of 10 standards of evaluation.

That headline ought to bring in a few more surfers at least. Maybe I’ll be able to justify it’s use when I point you over towards a site with Hummer golf merchandise.
From this Hummer golf towel, which I dearly love and covet, to polos, bags, umbrellas and all sorts of Hummer memorabilia, you can find almost anything Hummer related over there.
Almost.
Feel free to click thru and see if you can find a Hummer to suit you, er … at least some Hummer toys, er, … I’ll quit now while we’re still PG Rated.
