David Feherty’s New Book

by Mike Sigers on February 3, 2006

David Feherty's New Book

Just in case you missed the release, here’s a cover shot of David Feherty’s newest book.

I’ll be getting my copy from Amazon, where it’s listed today for a mere $16.47. I met David on a rainy morning, sitting at breakfast in a Marriott, during The Memorial Tournament. He was with his running mate, Gary McCord. Jim Nance, Peter Kostis and a couple of other CBS stalwarts were there, but Feherty and McCord were the draw for those of us brave enough to go over and interrupt their breakfast. At 6′2″ and 250, I ain’t scared of many people at breakfast.

From the salespage at Amazon :

David Feherty is golf’s multitalented funnyman, best known for his colorful on-screen personality for CBS Sports, and never-ending ability to find humor and perversity in the game of golf. Following the best-selling success of Somewhere in Ireland A Village is Missing An Idiot, David is back with his much awaited second collection of hilarious columns from Golf Magazine and golfonline.com. As an added bonus, readers will be treated to David’s newest writing endeavor, Feherty’s Mailbag, where he answers questions sent in by readers in typical Feherty style. This new collection promises not to disappoint longtime fans, and any virgin Feherty reader is sure to become immediately addicted to his cockeyed, yet refreshingly honest outlook towards golf and its relation to life as we thought we knew it.

LCD Golf TV From Hannspree

by Mike Sigers on February 3, 2006

I found this little jewel while surfing around this wide & wild internet.

Hannspree Golf TV

Via their website :

You don’t just love golf. You live golf. No matter what, you just can’t get enough. Now, when you’re dreaming of golf at home or in the office, you can bring a touch of the links indoors. Circular indentations in white are designed to look like your favorite little ball. The screen is surrounded in emerald, just the color of the green. Around back, it’s time to take a swing with a stand that’s an oversized tee with a ball on top. “

You can get all the specs and other info from this link to their website.

Real Travelling Golfers Wear Tommy Bahama Silk Shirts

by Mike Sigers on February 2, 2006

Just in case you didn’t know, all the real Travelling Golfers are wearing silk Tommy Bahama shirts again this year.

Some of us are getting them off eBay and then sometimes I find them on sale in a few selected retail stores.

I love the feel of silk, but it’s a pain to launder. Make sure you get a solid white and a solid black one, as they’re classy enough to wear to some semi-formal outings, as well as the casual instances.
